According to Muslim belief, the end of prophethood means that the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the last prophet and the last messenger of God.
Allah, the Exalted, has sent him to this world and ended the chain of resurrection of the prophets. No new prophet will be sent after him. The end of Prophethood of the Holy Prophet ﷺ has been mentioned in many verses of the Holy Qur’an in a very comprehensive manner.
The Holy Prophet himself, in his numerous and frequent hadiths, has defined this meaning of Khatam-un-Nabiyyin.
